Job Title: Accountant
Qualification: Bachelor’s / master’s degree in finance, Accounting or related field.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant with 1-3 years of experience, particularly in using Zoho Books. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the company and supporting strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
• Record all financial transactions, including sales, purchases and expenses
2. Tax Compliance:
• Prepare and submit tax returns and related documentation.
• Monthly filing of TDS, GST, ESI and PF
3. Vendor Management:
• Process vendor bills, ensure accuracy, and manage payment disbursements.
• Maintain positive relationships with vendors and negotiate favorable terms.
4. Expense Management:
• Review and approve employee expense reports, manage petty cash, ensuring compliance with
company policies.
5. Zoho Books Expertise:
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of Zoho Books and Zoho Payroll to streamline accounting processes.
6. Financial Reporting:
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Generate and present financial statements to management, highlighting key performance
indicators.
7. Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor budgets.
• Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and variance analysis.
8. Audit Support:
• Facilitate external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
9. Cash Management:
• Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships.
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
10. Compliance and Regulations:
• Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and ensure the company’s adherence.
• Implement and enforce financial policies and procedures.
11. Financial Analysis:
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s / master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an accountant in the IT industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong proficiency in Zoho Books or similar accounting software
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
